Welcome to Sea Scout Ship 110 in Connecticut.

 

Sea Scouts is a co-educational program sponsored by the Boy Scouts of America

and is open to youth ages 14-20,

or 13 and have completed 8th grade.

It's mission is to teach leadership skills

through the study of seamanship.

We sail out of Captain's Cove in

Bridgeport, CT during the summer,

and meet weekly during the off season

at Stepney Fire Dept in Monroe, CT.

All are welcome to drop by and check us out!

 

 

 

 

 

 

News and Updates:
 
10/16/11-SEA SCOUT OPEN HOUSE! Come visit Ship 110 at Captain's Cove on Sunday, October 16th from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.  You can learn about Sea Scouts, tour our boats, have lunch with us, and if you have time, go for an afternoon sail.
 
10/2/11-Aliza, a 32' Camper-Nicholson Sloop joins our fleet!
 
1/9/11-Congratulations Will and Sandra for being awarded the Ct. Yankee Council Youth Venturing Leadership Award!
  
1/9/11 - The Fall 2010 edition of the Telegram has just been released.  Read all about SEAL, SeaBadge, and the Jamboree here. 
 
11/21/10 - As of tonight, our regular meetings will be held on Sunday evenings from 6:30-8:00 pm at the Stepney Fire Dept. #2, 801 Main St., Monroe.  All are welcome to attend.
 
7/21 - Congratulations to Will Kommritz and Sandra Zapata for each earning the coveted SEAL pin this past week. Will attended the week long Sea Scout Advanced Leadership course on Der Pelikan in Maryland, and Sandra attended the Long Island Sound course aboard Resolution.  Both are to be commended for their hard work and preparation needed to earn this prestigious award. 
 
6/19-20 - The 2010 Gam was held at Sheffield Island in Norwalk.  Check out some pictures from the event.
 
5/15/10-Congratulations to Connor for earning his Quartermaster Rank, the highest achievement in Sea Scouts!   A Landship Ceremony was held and attended by many.  To see pictures of the event, click here.
 
3/2/10-As National Boatswain, Connor attended the BSA Report to the Nation in Washington, DC.  Check out the pictures from his whirlwind visit.  Click Here
